Do you feel you are in a tug of war with Satan for your children or grandchildren? I sure do! It seems in our ungodly times in America right now the devil is really in full motion to grab our children. This time is crucial to pull our children away from the grips of Satan!
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Ephesians 6:11
With all the technology our kids are exposed to, social media pushing the sex gender baloney and then the government stepped in and got into their innocent minds further with all this Critical Race Theory malarkey pushed on our kids in school it’s no wonder our children are confused and wide open for Satan’s plan to steal, kill and destroy our children.
The good news is…I’m relieved to hear so many parents are standing up for what their children are being taught in schools and how much leverage these schools have on our children.
This stand for our children has to make Satan very angry. Good!!!
What about the cell phones?…I was talking to my middle aged sister the other day about the level of depression and anxiety in todays youth, teens and adult children. We both believe as many others media is ruining our kids. She shared, if she and my brother in law could do it over again they never would allow cell phones and internet around their kids while growing up.
I’m sure you probably agree. I do.
We didn’t see the damage until after the damage was already done.
My sister and I also talked about mental illness in children.
This is something we don’t recall hearing about when we were kids. Do you?
The biggest difference today that we could pinpoint causing depression and anxiety in children is the use of cells phones, social media and liberal tv shows.
Not to mention, schools have stripped away God out of children’s daily lives which especially affects those children that don’t get a dose of God in their home lives.
When Did Things Go Awry?
Well…we can cry all we want and although you may get offended–it all started when…
Parents became to busy working and trying to earn a comfortable living or to simply survive. Typically, both parents started working and kids were being entertained by technology.
Social Media and TV became a babysitter.
I understand…I was one of these parents. Now, I have grandchildren and see their moms and dads making the same mistakes I did. But I’m sure, like I did, they feel they have “control of it.”
Already, I see it’s a problem and getting worse with todays youth and teens. My heart aches for these children and the parents. My heart breaks as a grandmother to six.
I’ve had two granddaughters affected by anxiety and depression. This is no coincidence. Both come from good, Godly homes and so it seems Satan is going after families with strong ties to God. What better way then to attack the children to break down the family unit.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.–John 10-10
We can’t undo the past as parents or grandparents but we can be vigilant of the future…
Too much time with technology allows Satan to get his toe in the door to manipulate the minds of children.

So let’s admit it…Social Media, TV, cell phones and influence of others corrupted the minds of our children.
Let’s be reminded….
Children Are a Gift from God
God created the family, and children are a gift from Him. In fact, the Bible says that offspring are a reward from Him! Because of this, God cares about how children are raised and nurtured. Children are a gift from God.
- People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”— Luke 18:15-17
- Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children. — Proverbs 17:6
- An argument started among the disciples as to which of them would be the greatest. Jesus, knowing their thoughts, took a little child and had him stand beside him. Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.” — Luke 9:46-47 (also Mark 9:35-37)
The Bible is clear that children are to be looked upon as a blessing, not an inconvenience. They are a reward from God! Truly, children are a gift from God.
Jesus has committed children into our arms of protection. It’s our duty to protect them and make wise decisions on upbringing.
It is a tremendous blessing to love, serve, and protect the most vulnerable in this world and share God’s love with them. He’s the greatest Protector of all.
Sometimes we must do what’s best for our kids and not what’s comfortable to them…
Kids may kick and scream when you take their source of worldly views away from them but so be it!
‘Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.” — Proverbs 13:24
We sure can’t undo the past. But It’s past time parents, grandparents and schools wise up with teaching better options and skills to children that will positively affect our impressionable children.
Make a difference!
It’s time to see what technology and these schools are planting in our children’s heads and take meaningful action. Kids do not have a future if we don’t stand up and fight for them!
Go to school board meetings and find out firsthand what they are feeding your kids and have your voice heard!
There’s nothing more effective than a momma or poppa bear armed with God’s courage and bold strength! Or the gray haired, wise grandparents marching in and saying it like it is!
March into the school with your full armor of God on ready for a righteous battle!
What better way to show your kids you care enough to fight for them!
And of course…always pray fervently for your children or grandchildren for the wisdom for them to know the difference between good and evil!
When praying for your children…Use the Name of Jesus to Send Demons Packing
If we don’t teach our children to follow Christ, the world will teach them not to.
“In my name shall they cast out devils”–Mark 16:17
There’s no fair game when playing against Satan…all gloves are off when dealing with him!
Have you ever noticed the devil doesn’t play fair? Well, God never told you to give the devil a fair shot either—He said use the Name of Jesus on him. He’s already defeated—you’re just keeping him where he belongs.
The Devil’s Domain…
Now, here’s how he comes at you—he sends demons, or evil spirits. But you have authority over every one of them. If the spirit of strife, envy, suicide, murder, drugs, alcoholism or any other wrong spirit tries to enter your home and family—deal with it IMMEDIATELY! Speak to it; say, “I command you in Jesus’ Name to take your hands off my children. You spirit of rebellion, drugs, alcohol (whatever it is), I break your power over my child, my spouse, my family. I forbid you to operate in his or her life anymore. I take by force what belongs to me and that includes my children and my family. You get out of my home and family, in Jesus’ Name!”
And yes, we had to call out and rebuke Satan in Jesus’ name in my family when my two teen granddaughter’s were attacked by Satan with anxiety, depression and self harm. Prior to that, the last time I had to do some serious screaming at Satan was when he had hold of my son in addiction (which I talked about in a previous blog.)
Here’s the deal…If you aren’t born again, or you don’t have faith in what you say when you use the Name of Jesus, you won’t get results. That’s what happened in Acts 19:13-16 when Jewish exorcists went to a demon-possessed man and said, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” That demon spoke up and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” And then that demon whipped all seven of those boys, tore all their clothes off and rode them all out of the house nearly dead.
You see, they were using a Name that they had no right to use. They could have used it. All they had to do was accept Jesus. But they didn’t accept Jesus; they accepted Paul and what he did and were trying to use the Name of Jesus like some kind of hocus-pocus.
They realized it was the Name that was getting things done, but they were not using it as their right. That devil knew it, and he didn’t have to bow to that.
When you are born again, and you have faith in the Name—there is no situation too great for that Name. But you have to take what belongs to you by force. You have to force Satan—with the Word of God and the Name of Jesus—to give up ground in your life. He’s a thief, he’s a killer, and he’s an outlaw. He’ll steal anything you’ll let him have. So be bold with the Name of Jesus—don’t let him steal your kids, don’t let him steal your money, don’t let him steal your ministry, don’t let him steal your church. Be forcible in the spirit and force him out.
If you even smell the devil from a distance roaming and trying to break into any area of your life, don’t wait for it to escalate—get him out! And do it with the Name above all names- Jesus!
Call upon Michael the Archangel to come to your child’s rescue. Call upon all the angels and saints to gather around your children with a strong hedge of protection.
But more importantly, call upon the name of Jesus!
Use the Name of Jesus for Supernatural Protection
“The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.” –Proverbs 18:10
Oh, how the devil doesn’t want you to know this one. His entire profession is steal, kill and destroy. So, when you start using the Name of Jesus to protect you, your family and your property—he’ll go out of business in your neck of the woods. Saturating his plans with the Name of Jesus will stop him from oppressing you and your family, and will keep you safe.
A Prayer for Satanic Attacks
Take a listen…
“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
There’s a reason why so many of us begin praying for our children while they’re still in the womb: We understand that we’re in a war. And while we’re all targets for the enemy’s schemes, Satan is smart enough to recognize that attacks on our kids are especially powerful.
He understands that if he can grab their hearts and establish false teachings in their mind from the earliest age, all he has to do is sit back and watch the dominos fall.
But here’s the great news: The Bible promises that nothing can thwart God’s good plans for our children. No plan from the enemy can snatch our kids out of God’s awesome covering.
And speaking of that enemy, we read in Revelation 20 that he has already lost the war. Amen!
As Christians, our job now is to fight! And as Christian parents, these great battles for our kids’ hearts are fought in prayer as we use God’s Truth to claim victory, break down half-truths and ask for divine guidance (2 Corinthian 10:3-5).
Self-Worth: Dear Jesus, help our kids know that we are all born as sinners and separated from God because of our wicked hearts. However, at an early age, help our children grasp the life-transforming concept that they don’t have to live as a sinner under that condemnation.
Body Image: Lord we ask that you’d protect our kids from the idea that they must do anything and everything (including abusing their bodies through eating disorders, drug abuse, or other harmful behaviors) in order to attaining a “preferred” shape or figure. We pray you’d protect our kids from that kind of destructive thinking, and that if they’re tempted to take these kind of drastic measures, that you’d send someone in their lives to stop them. Help them to remember over and over that their identity is not in how they look on the outside but what you see as their potential and worth on the inside.
Influences: We pray that you would surround our children with friendships and mentor-type relationships that portray what it means to have an authentic relationship with Christ. In turn, we pray that you would raise our kids up to be the influencers of the next generation. We pray that you would allow godliness and righteousness to dwell in their hearts so richly that these evidences of your truth spill out of them and to every person they encounter.
Passions: God, help us to know how to guide our kids in their passions by blessing us with the divine wisdom to know when to joyfully open up the gates toward new freedoms and desires, and when to curtail our children’s passions because they’re not able to accept the responsibilities yet in full. Help us model to our kids what it means to live passionately for You by boldly following the dreams you’ve placed in our heart, never settling for complacency.
Money, Possessions and Work: We pray that our kids would persevere in whatever vocation you give them and that they would work with cheerful hearts as if they were serving you directly. We pray that our kids would see at an early age that money and possessions are a gift from You and thus must be always held with an open hand so that You can use those gifts to bless others.
Brothers and sisters, let’s commit anew today to begin regularly fighting against the enemy’s schemes by powerfully praying for our kids in these areas!
